The Full Moon: The Symbol of spirituality

The Full Moon.  The vision of the moon has captivated mankind for as far back as history has records.  We have created stories, gods and rituals to mark its many stages and the symbolism and meaning to ourselves.  Rather fitting.  Unlike many things in our Universe, we actually are blessed to bear witness to its many stages in our starlit sky.  It plays out on the night canvas much as we witness and experience our lives playing out on Earth.  And none is as symbolic as the Full Moon - the complete culmination of its repeating cycle and symbolically, ours as well.

Full Moon: It’s spiritual cycle in our life

The Full Moon, a celestial spectacle that has enthralled humanity throughout history. We've woven tales, gods, and rituals around its myriad phases, drawing profound symbolism and meaning for ourselves. It's a unique blessing that we can bear witness to this cosmic cycle in our starlit sky, mirroring the unfolding of our lives on Earth. Among all its stages, none is as symbolic as the Full Moon – the culmination of its rhythmic cycle and, symbolically, our own.

The Full Moon holds a special place in the realm of spirituality. It epitomizes our emotions, creativity, the cyclical nature of feminine energy, and acts as a magnetic force for our subconscious and intuitive minds.

Often, those attuned to lunar cycles—whether consciously or not—experience heightened energies during the Full Moon. This surge may manifest as increased creativity, heightened sensitivity, emotional intensity, or even restlessness, fatigue, and sleep difficulties. The experience varies for each individual. Some feel charged with vitality, while others may find themselves overwhelmed. However, it's important to note that this isn't a signal to retreat. Instead, it encourages us to fully embrace our emotions, seek hidden truths within them, and reflect on their impact on our lives.

Did you know that the Full Moon's influence extends beyond just one night? It's a phase that lasts for six days—three days prior to reaching its zenith and three days after. Moreover, its energy accumulates over the entire month. This means that while the Full Moon is most potent when the sun and moon are directly opposite each other, you're free to harness its energies and manifest your intentions during this entire six-day period.

Tapping into the Full Moon

As the lunar cycle draws to a close with the Full Moon, it's an ideal time for reflection. Consider your goals, plans, strategies, victories, setbacks, and challenges of the past month. Apply this introspection to your relationships as well. Are they sources of positivity, love, and support, or do they drain you with toxicity and negativity? Now is the time to realign your intentions for the upcoming month, formulate a plan for healing, release what no longer serves you, and recognize areas in need of personal growth. Give yourself permission to let go, forgive, and explore new avenues, all while nurturing yourself with positive affirmations.

Many of you may already be familiar with various rituals to aid in this process:

- Meditation

- Journaling

- Contemplating under the moonlight

  • Practicing the art of releasing negativity or unhelpful habits, whether through written reflection or mental exercises

  • Making Moon Water to hold your intentions and use to refresh yourself throughout the month.

  • Burning a list of things to let go and then setting intentions

  • Powering up your crystals, particularly any that you have set your intentions into.

Recognizing the Full Moon as the conclusion of a cycle and incorporating a practice of letting go and setting intentions each time can usher amazing transformations into your life. Be patient with yourself, for mastering the art of letting go, crafting affirmations, and setting intentions takes time. Yet, making this a monthly ritual can be a powerful tool for connecting with yourself, the Universe, and your earthly goals and relationships.
